Nick De Luca’s return to midfield is the only change to the starting XV made by head coach Andy Robinson as the Scots look for their first Six Nations win.

Sean Lamont started against France at centre, but moves to the wing to replace his brother Rory, who broke a leg in that match.

De Luca started the first two matches but was on the bench against France. The Dumfries-born player faced criticism in the aftermath of being sin-binned in the defeat by Wales, but bounced back with an impressive display from the bench against France. Robinson has called on the Scots to build on their display against the French at Murrayfield: “We did many good things in the game against France but we need to be better, especially in our accuracy and execution at breakdown, in order to beat Ireland.

“If we do the basic things well and are ruthless in contact then we can put ourselves in a position to defeat a very good Ireland team.”

There is no place in the starting line-up for prop Euan Murray, who is available after missing the last two games for religious reasons, as Robinson keeps faith with his forwards. Murray replaces Glasgow’s Ed Kalman on the bench. The Edinburgh pairing of Greig Laidlaw and Mike Blair retain their places at stand-off and scrum-half respectively. Ruaridh Jackson replaces Glasgow team-mate Duncan Weir on the bench at stand-off. Max Evans also starts the match on the bench, after being cleared of assault in a court case this week.

Wales v Italy BBC ONE, 1400-1630

John Inverdale presents live coverage from the Millennium Stadium as Wales and Italy kick off the penultimate weekend of this year’s Six Nations.
Warren Gatland’s side cruised to a comfortable victory against the Italians when the two sides met in Cardiff two years ago, thanks to tries from James Hook and Shane Williams. The visitors will start as underdogs again as they look to avoid finishing the competition with the wooden spoon.
Jeremy Guscott and Shane Williams are in the studio to offer their views on the game. Jonathan Davies joins Alastair Eykyn in the commentary box.

Ireland v Scotland BBC ONE, 1630-1900

Gabby Logan introduces live coverage from the Aviva Stadium as Ireland host Scotland.
The Scots will be looking for a repeat of two years ago when a last-gasp penalty gave them a dramatic victory in Dublin. But Ireland bounced back at Murrayfield last year, as 11 points from Ronan O’Gara helped them to a narrow win.
Keith Wood and Andy Nicol are in the studio to offer their opinions on the match. Commentary comes from Andrew Cotter, who is joined by Philip Matthews.

France v England BBC ONE, 1430-1700

John Inverdale presents live coverage from the Stade de France as France take on England.
New-look England, skippered by Chris Robshaw, are looking for revenge following last year’s World Cup quarter-final defeat at the hands of Les Bleus. But when these two last met in Paris two years ago, France secured a narrow 12-10 win to claim the Grand Slam.
Jeremy Guscott, Thomas Castaignede and Jonathan Davies, are on hand to offer their views on the action. Commentary comes from Eddie Butler and Brian Moore.

Show your support for the Jocks as they look to bounce back from defeat against England as they look to derail Wales’s hopes of a Grandslam and Triple Crown! Scotland face Wales at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday 12th February 2012 and will look to build on their close defeat to England last Saturday.
